We had a 2 night stay here and we really enjoyed it. The food was excellent. We had dinner here and it was delicious. Breakfast had plenty of choices and was served to table piping hot. Staff were amazing, very friendly and courteous. I would have no hesitation to recommend this hotel.
As everyone else has said the rooms need a refresh (window a bit damaged, curtain had a rip in it, some marks on floor, green wedge to hold mirror in). Also the shower isn't very strong, like the WiFi speeds
Delayed (15 minutes) check-in as the room wasn't ready, but then you can see why when we're here for two days and on the second day they came in and cleaned the room
Super friendly and helpful staff talk and treat you like a person not a customer and make the hotel
Ideal location less than 5 minutes from everything, also set down area too drop off bags etc
Recommended if visiting Galway
Found out when checking out we had unlimited car park exit ticket, we didn't move the car as we weren't told this when booking so thought by extra cost going in and out
My two-day stay at the Victoria Hotel in Galway was delightful. The hotel's location is superb, especially considering its proximity to the breathtaking Christmas market.
The convenience of being right next to such a gorgeous market added a charming festive touch to my stay. The hotel itself was cozy and comfortable, making it a perfect base for exploring Galway's festive offerings.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would highly recommend it, especially during the holiday season."
The room was a bit dated but clean and comfortable. The hotel staff and the restaurant staff were top notch. The only complaint I have is the walls are somewhat thin so you hear your neighbors coming and going. I was jarred awake at 4:30am by a very drunk reveler coming into his room. That isn't the staff or hotel's fault though, but wanted to mention it for those that are more sensitive to noise.
The location is ideal, the staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are incredibly basic for the money you are paying. Our room the flush was broken on the toilet and the shower thermostat was like a game of Russian roulette. Having a radiator for heating is not ideal either. Overall not good value for money.
Perfect location for shopping, restaurants, bars and public transport. Staff were very helpful from front of office to the cleaning staff. We went for an overnight night had never stayed in the victoria I would definitely go back and stay there. We ate in the bar when we got there and the food and service were excellent.
I chose the Victoria Hotel during my stay in Galway and I have no regrets about it. Yes the location is great but more can be said. The room was confortable, the staff was super friendly. All were smiling anytime I talked to them. The restaurant/bar is great. Even if one doesn't stay at the hotel, the restaurant is worth spending time with (better than some spots in the Galway).
Super nice hotel in the heart of Galway! The rooms were very comfortable and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the breakfast - there was no fresh fruit and also almost no options for people with gluten free / lactose free intolerance. The staff found some lactose free milk, but that was it. Otherwise everything was perfect :)
